A child that was found wandering alone outside a Tulsa apartment complex Sunday morning near 71st and Memorial was reunited with her family, police say.

Tulsa Police say it all started when the girl was found outside around 6:45, saying she got lost.

Police searched for her parents or guardians to no avail, so they shared her information on Facebook hoping to reunite them.

By 9 a.m., she was back with her family and Tulsa Police shared more information.

They say she was left in the care of a family member while her mom went to work, but the little girl snuck out and got lost trying to get back home.

TPD said she was fortunate to be found by a caring citizen who called police.
