The Tulsa Zoo's Malayan tiger Dara is being transferred to the zoo in Fresno Chaffee Zoo in California.

Dara was born in 2021 and is a third-generation Tulsa Zoo cub. Zoo officials say she was transferred as part of a national breeding program to protect the future of critically endangered species. They say Malayan Tigers are critically endangered with approximately 100-250 remaining in the wild.
