Governor Kevin Stitt appointed a longtime lawyer and prosecutor as the new Muskogee County District Attorney.

Stitt said Larry Edwards has a proven track record of defending the law.

Edwards will finish the term of former DA Orvil Loge who resigned at the end of September to become a judge.
