Tulsa To Move Forward With Further 1921 Mass Graves Excavations, Core Sampling

The search for mass graves will continue, the Public Oversight Committee for the 1921 Tulsa Race Massacre Graves Investigation announced Monday.

The committee met virtually on Monday for an update from the physical investigation committee and have decided to move forward with additional test excavations and core sampling.

The Committee said that they will be doing core sampling in an anomaly on the south side of the cemetery near 11th Street, known as the Clyde Eddy site. A test excavation will be conducted in a southwest site of the cemetery known as the Original Eighteen.

The City of Tulsa will announce the dates of these further investigations when confirmed.
