More school districts across the country have announced they will not return to classrooms in the fall because of the surge in COVID-19 cases and delays in test results.

Public school students in San Francisco and Sacramento will not be returning to class at the start of the new school year.

The district follows L.A. and San Diego as the latest cities in California to announce learning will be online only because of COVID-19.

In Texas, the Houston Independent School District will also delay the start of its schools until at least September 8th.

But the same decision hasn't been made in Fort Worth.

Some teachers in the city say they're concerned about going back.

President Trump has pushed for a full reopening this fall, which is what states like South Carolina plan to do.

Earlier this week, Florida issued an emergency order calling for all school boards to open brick-and-mortar schools at least five days a week for all students.

The CDC has recommended everyone inside schools wear masks at all times, along with other protective measures like spreading out students' desks.
