Tulsa Police has confirmed that Sgt. Craig Johnson, who was shot Monday morning, has passed away.

Sgt. Johnson was a beloved police officer and beloved family man, leaving behind two young children, his wife, and both parents.

Chief Wendell Franklin said, “I want to thank the Johnson family for sharing Sgt Craig Johnson with us for allowing him to be a part of our department and for allowing him to serve this community. His sacrifice will not go unremembered.”

Chief Franklin said that Officer Zarkeshan, who was also shot in the head, is still in critical condition fighting for his life.
