FBI Dallas safely captured a suspect of Texas' Most Wanted List on Tuesday.

Benjamin Song was arrested in Dallas.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol activated a Blue Alert as an extension of a Texas Blue Alert Friday night in connection with a July 4 ambush that injured an officer.

What is a Blue Alert in Texas? 

A Blue Alert is a notification meant to help find suspects wanted for injuring or killing police officers, or who pose a threat to public safety.

Song, a former U.S. Marine Corps reservist, was wanted in connection with a July 4 ambush that left a police officer wounded outside an ICE detention facility in Alvarado, south of Fort Worth. He is one of 12 people facing charges in both state and federal court in connection with the incident. 

Federal prosecutors said Song purchased three AR-style rifles used in the incident.
