You can now get fresh, locally-grown food delivered right to your door. The program is called Local Farm OK and it's part of Food on the Move.

CEO Kevin Harper and Local Farm OK co-founder Ashley Neal shared more about the program and what we can make using Oklahoma grown produce and food.

What kind of produce and food people can get by signing up for Local Farm OK?

"This will be delivered to our subscribers houses today or all week long. It's focused here in Oklahoma. We get as much grown locally as we can. And then we have focused fresh food because some of the stuff is out of season or it's not here locally. And we want to give people access to fresh produce. That's a great way. But not only that, you're helping local farmers. And the money that you spend helps you to get healthy food, but also go back to fight food insecurity," Harper said.

How does this program support local farmers and Food On The Move?

"This is exciting for us because, you know, we always know that food is medicine. And we want to make sure people have access to fresh produce. So you can sign up and become a member. We'll deliver every week.

Right now we're working with the state. We're almost faced with our SNAP benefits. So here soon, we'll be announcing that. So if you're on SNAP, you can use those SNAP benefits and we'll deliver it to your house. And so be looking for our website announcement as that's coming along.

And that was really the goal of moving this forward. So you're helping local farmers. You're helping people with food insecurity, and you're making a difference. And you're eating healthy and you're gonna feel better and you're gonna do a lot better things," Harper said.
