State Supt. Delivers ‘Inappropriate Materials In Schools’ Letter To Legislature

State Superintendent Ryan Walters delivered the state legislature a letter containing materials that he said he found in Oklahoma schools.

The letter featured outlines of actions taken, examples of illicit books and photographs of images found in those books that were presented to the education board last month.

Supt. Walters released this statement in the letter:

“Today, with the help of the state legislature, my office and the parents of Oklahoma have put the far-left on notice. Oklahoma will no longer be a breeding ground for liberal indoctrination. I am pleased to work with the House, Senate and Governor's office to remove and prevent harmful ideologies from entering our classrooms.”

State Representative Mark McBride requested that Walters come to a house education committee meeting to answer some questions from him and other committee members.

They specifically wanted to know what schools had “pornographic material” and wanted to ask some questions about last month's board meeting. Walters said he was too busy to go.

McBride told News 9 Monday morning that Walters was sent another request to give three days he’s available to meet in the next ten days of the legislature. Walters has not responded.
