Update: The Tulsa Police Department (TPD) confirmed Wednesday afternoon that a woman in her 20s died after crashing along Highway 75 near Apache just after midnight.

TPD said some firefighters with the Tulsa Fire Department recovered the woman from the car and then paramedics took her to the hospital with severe head and internal injuries.

The woman died at the hospital shortly after.

Officers have not released the victim's name, but the family has been notified.
