Tulsa Students Tour 'Outsiders' House Museum

Some Tulsa students from Will Rogers Junior High School took a tour of the Outsiders House Museum on January 26.

English teacher Sandy Pleasant said her 6th grade students just read the novel "The Outsiders" and will be writing a five page essay.

She said her school has a special connection to the book.

"This book is really close to Will Rogers because S.E. Hinton, the author, went to school there and she wrote the book when she was in high school at Will Rogers. Our students have a rich history surrounded around the book," said Sandy Pleasant, 6th grade teacher.

She hopes her students can use their experience at the museum to bring their papers to life.
