Troopers Arrest Suspect In Houston Accused In Deadly Hit-And-Run Near Tahlequah

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers arrested a woman for a deadly hit-and-run that happened near Tahlequah back in March.

OHP said troopers took Silvia Fuentes into custody with help from the FBI Thursday morning in Houston.

Investigators said Fuentes is suspected of hitting 24-year-old Jacklyn Dobson in March -- as Dobson rode her bike on Highway 62, about three miles west of Tahlequah.

Troopers said Dobson was trying to cross Highway 62 on South 460 Road when she was hit.

Dobson was flown to a Tulsa hospital, where troopers said she later died.

Dobson’s friends described her as outgoing and someone who always had a smile on her face and tried to stay positive.

Dobson leaves behind a young son.

Her family just spoke to News On 6 last week, hoping for answers about who was behind the wheel.
