OSBI Investigating Fatal Police Shooting In Webbers Falls

The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation said it is handling the investigation of a fatal police shooting Saturday.

According to the OSBI, the Webbers Falls Police Department responded to the west side of the Webbers Falls Lock and Dam to arrest a 29-year-old man with outstanding warrants.

Webbers Falls police contacted the Muskogee County Sheriff's Office about the situation. Sheriff's deputies were on their way to the scene.

Authorities said the man was armed with a handgun.

The man, identified as Benjamin Ridley of Webbers Falls, was shot and killed by officers. A handgun was recovered at the scene.

The investigation is still active at this time.
