Woman To Deliver Gift Bags To The Homeless At City Lights Foundation

A volunteer at the City Lights Foundation in Tulsa will be delivering gift bags to the homeless on her birthday on Monday.

Kim LeGate will be turning 63 years old and what better way to celebrate her birthday than giving to the needy, well that's according to her. Kim has been volunteering at the City Lights Foundations for five years and every year, at the beginning of October, she contacts her family and friends to sponsor a homeless person at the non-profit to help provide a gift. This year, she'll be delivering gifts bags filled with entire outfits for each person at the City Lights hotel in Tulsa.

"The world is hard right now and I think if you can make your little spot, you can't fix everything, but if you can make your spot a little better, then I think that is what you have to do," said LeGate.

The non-profit's hotel is sheltering more than 100 people.
