Suspect Arrested, Kids Found Safe After Amber Alert Issued

UPDATE (7:11 p.m.): The Kansas Bureau of Investigation said both three-year-old Aven Jackson and seven-year-old Nora Jackson have been found safe. According to KBI, their father, Donny Jackson, was apprehended by Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers near mile marker 6 in Erick, Okla.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol confirmed the arrest and rescue of the children just after 7:30 p.m. Saturday. The Beckham County Sheriff's office say they got several tips which helped them track down Jackson.

An Amber Alert has been issued after a suspect took two small girls in Kansas and were last seen crossing the Oklahoma border.

The girls are three-year-old Aven Jackson and seven-year-old Nora Jackson.

Aven has blond hair and blue eyes. Nora has blond-brown hair and hazel or blue eyes.

The suspect has been identified as 40-year-old Donny Jackson, who is the father of Aven and Nora.

Jackson is a white male with long brown hair and a full beard. He weighs 190 pounds and is 5 feet, 11 inches tall.

The suspect was seen driving a black 2008 Honda Accord near State Highway 169 in Oklahoma with a Kansas license plate that reads 266-MXB.
