Weekday Shows & Hosts

Hoot Owl – Jim Jefferies  M-F 6a-10a

Hoot  was born and raised in Terre Haute, Indiana.  Lived and worked in Fort Wayne IN, Jacksonville FL, West Palm Beach FL, Seattle WA, Los Angeles CA and here in Tulsa. He considers himself someone who can associate with the best of aristocrats or sit around the pickle barrel and talk about last week’s strawberry harvest with your uncle in Stilwell, OK.  He’s never met a stranger.  (He got that from his dad.)

Hoot enjoys the finer things in life, but also appreciate the simple routines that make life so rich. He loves to perform music on stage, make people laugh and laugh at people.  (He got that from his mom.) He’s athletic and try to keep in shape.  Hoot likea to get his hands dirty.  Hoot has a very sensitive nose, loves the smell of decaying leaves on the forest floor, Gain detergent, an ocean shore, a striking match, coffee brewing, fresh cut grass, an elegant perfume, burning sage, the smell of a baby's head. Awwwww!

Bridget Taylor M-F 10a-3p

From across the Atlantic, Germany actually,  Big Country brings you Bridget Taylor!  She came to the states when she was 3. Her father was a Captain in the Army and they called home, Ft. Hood Texas. Radio became her love at 10 when she visited a local mall where a huge juke box, on wheels, rolled into the parking lot and the dj gave her a record. She still has that record! Bridget  raises 2 boys, 13 and 17, and their furbaby,  Zuko… single-handedly.  When not  fueling other people’s souls with music and chatter, Bridget  enjoys camping, fishing festivals/fairs. Road Trips are her ‘Church’! She fills the car with great music from Country to Rock ‘N Roll, but loves all genres of music. “It feeds my soul and fuels her life.”

Bridget BURNS with passion for radio! She loves the fact that she can have more freedom in her life and help others in unexpected and rewarding ways. She loves putting smiles on people’s faces and believes is that laughter is key. Knowing that she might have made you laugh while listening to her show; that is what makes her extra-ordinary job rewarding. Listening to Bridget  on Big Country 99.5 you will know every thing about her, her highs. Her lows. She is, in her words, ‘beautifully flawed’ and she owns it!

Jeremy Robinson M-F  3p-7p

Somewhere in the Robinson family archives, there’s video of young Jeremy at a cousin’s birthday party. While all the other children are playing, a young Jeremy is using a stick as a microphone and interviewing party guests. By age nine, Robinson was “hosting” a radio and television version of “The Jeremy Robinson Show” out of his bedroom using a karaoke machine and his family’s video camera. Jeremy has hosted syndicated shows across the country including Taste of Country and The Jeremy Show. Now, you can find Jeremy on KXBL-FM from 7p-12mid.

Dave Tyler M-F  7p-12M

Dave Tyler is a Florida native who loves the outdoors, hunting, fishing & shooting. He is married with 2 boys and a daughter. Dave smokes meat a couple times a month and even has his own BBQ Sauce. He also plays guitar and has a fairly substantial collection of them. His wife Lisa says he has enough but Dave insists there is always room for "Just one more". Dave has been in radio for 33 years and started at the age of 16. An avid Country music fan, he is also a songwriter. David has a song or two cut and released by artists like Cody McCarver (Confederate Railroad). You'll have to forgive him for being a Florida Gator fan, but he says any day he can watch football, college or NFL, is a good day no matter who is playing. Listen to Dave each night on Big Country 99.5!
