Only one in 10,000 weavers would even attempt to make a rug like Milli Fliori.  And, that weaver would need to practice, practice and practice some more before attempting to hand weave a rug of this quality.  Furthermore, it would take that weaver some ten years to complete.  Woven with filamentary silk, Milli Fliori is composed of 2,500 knots per square inch - that’s almost 20,000,000 total knots...nearly a world record!   Filamentary silk is supple, moves like water and is transparent ...making it suitable for use as a tapestry.  This rug has twenty auxiliary borders and hand-knotted silk thread fringe - a yarn fringe would simply be too bulky for a rug of this quality of material and workmanship.  Simply put, Milli Fliori is the best rug we’ve seen in 44 years of business.
